I love starting websites, social networking accounts and playing with content management applications. I have worked as a Software Developer for 14 years. I read several blogs in my Google Reader about topics ranging from food, travel, television, gadgets, to SQL Server programming! My first blog was probably created around 2003 but I only started blogging regularly February, 2008. I guess I am a bit behind the times with regards to developments in the web thanks to being distracted by massive multiplayer online games such as A Tale in the Desert and World of Warcraft between the years of 2003 to 2007. Those years were the geekiest times of my life. But anyways, I have found a new hobby/interest which is blogging and I see myself pursuing this in the next few months. I lived in Amsterdam for 3 years and before that I have lived for 9 years in the US. I was born, raised and currently back in the Philippines.
I have been taking photos since I first got hold of my own Kodak Ektralite camera. During that time it was called “instamatic” cameras. I was around 10 years old during that time. When digital cameras were introduced I was one of the early adopters. My first digital camera was a Kodak DC 215 which I bought sometime in 2000. Photography then started becoming a serious hobby sometime in 2002 while living in South Jersey. Since then, I have made it a point to learn more about this craft by reading books, attending courses and events. With this I also spent some really interesting times developing my own black and white photos! This will be added in my gallery as well. I was also a member of the Photographic Society of America a few years ago before I moved to the Netherlands.
The photos here have been taken using the following equipment:
- Canon EOS 10D
- Canon EF 24-85 / 3.5 – 4.5 Lens
- Canon EF 70-200 4.0L
- Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM (sold already)
- Canon EF 50 1.8
- Canon EF 24mm f/2.8 (traded-in)
- Canon Speedlight 420EX
- Canon Powershot G2
- Sanyo X-Acti C40
- Canon EOS Rebel (non-digital)
And lastly, I just would like to reveal that I have not taken the time to learn Photoshop so my photos are mostly in original form. Maybe in the future if I have the time I will also learn this.
If you would like to purchase prints or high resolution images of of the photographs in this blog please send me an email at admin(at)spypinay(dot)com.
